About GrowNYC - April's #EveryCaseCounts Charity Partner

Here at Casely, we are incredibly passionate about creating the best phone cases on the market. We also love giving back to the community by donating to charities using proceeds from all our beloved customers.

Every month, we select a charity partner for our #EveryCaseCounts initiative. For April, we've partnered with GrowNYC - an organization dedicated to improving the environment in New York City, one block at a time.

What Is GrowNYC?

GrowNYC is a charity founded in 1970 to help improve the environment and overall quality of life in New York City. They have a wide range of programs that offer resources and activities that allow New Yorkers to create a more vibrant and healthy living environment for future generations.

New York City is a massive metropolitan area with a population of over 8.8 million people. While the bustling city streets and countless skyscrapers might be appealing to many, the city is seriously lacking in organic plant life and green spaces. The growing noise and air pollution can be exhausting for residents/ GrowNYC works to transform the city into a more nature-focused environment.

Today, GrowNYC is an incredibly established organization with:

• Over 3 million active participants
• 4 major programs throughout the city
• Multiple published reports about the quality of life in NYC

• New Yorkers only recycle 17% of their total waste
• 5% of the waste stream is from plastic
• Clothing and other textiles make up about 5.7% of New York City’s waste

Want To Help GrowNYC?

GrowNYC always welcomes new participants for their various programs. Some of their most popular programs include:

• Food Access and Agriculture. Do you love fresh produce as much as we do? Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had access to fresh fruits and vegetables? With the GrowNYC Food Access and Agriculture program, you can help make that a reality. GrowNYC has built a network of farmers’ markets and fresh food pick-up services to ensure more people have access to fresh, healthy foods.
• Green Space. GrowNYC helps set up gardens and green spaces in various schools and communities. You can help bring the joy of gardening to thousands of New Yorkers through this program.
• Conservation. Clothing and textile waste is a growing problem in New York City. Join the GrowNYC Conservation program to help recycle more waste and create a healthier living environment for residents.
• Education. Help over 70,000 children learn the importance of gardening and green living space. Be a part of interactive activities that are fun and meaningful.

If you don't live in NYC or want to help in a different way, purchasing one of our phone cases will earn GrowNYC additional funding for their programs. Throughout April, we'll donate 5% of net sales per case directly to GrowNYC, contributing to their efforts to transform New York City.
