About The Trevor Project – June's #EveryCaseCounts Charity Partner

This month we are continuing our pledge to work with and shout out amazing charities and organizations that make a massive difference to the world! Here at Casely, we are dedicated to using our platform for good, and that's precisely why we have the #EveryCaseCounts campaign.

So, which organization are we proudly supporting for the month of June? Introducing: The Trevor Project.

What Is The Trevor Project?

The Trevor Project was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organization focused entirely on suicide prevention and broader mental health issues for LGBTQ+ young people. Since then, they have gone from resilience to strength, and their work in the community cannot be understated!

They provide information and support for the young people they help, and their helpline telephone service is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Whether you're experiencing suicidal thoughts or feeling lonely, The Trevor Project has trained counselors ready and waiting to talk to and help you. Furthermore, they even have an international community designed specifically for 13-24-year-olds identifying as LGBTQ.

Why LGBTQ-Specific Charities Are So Important

People who identify as LGBTQ have faced oppression throughout history, and although we'd like to think that things are better today, that doesn't mean they're by any means perfect. Furthermore, the situation for LGBTQ people is so vastly different depending on which country that person is from or lives in - the fight for equality is certainly not done yet.

Unfortunately, LGBTQ people are four times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers, and a heartbreaking 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered it in the last year. That percentage rises to over half for transgender and non-binary youth.

Having dedicated organizations such as The Trevor Project are crucial in helping LGBTQ youth find their community and live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives! We are so proud to support this fantastic organization and fully back everything they stand for!

So how can you help? With our #EveryCaseCounts campaign, we will donate 5% of our net sales per case to The Trevor Project for the entire month of June. That means the more cases we sell, the more money goes towards this amazing charity!

And we don't stop there. If you tag us in an Instagram post with the hashtag #EveryCaseCounts, we will donate an extra $1 per case!
